One of the most exciting and rewarding aspects of our lives in this enchanting corner of Ireland, is being able to share it with people who have come from all around the world. We never tire of the landscape of Lecale, the majestic prospect of the Mountains of Mourne and the stunning shores of Strangford Lough. Sharing the impressions and adventures of our guests around a roaring fire, after a full day, is like seeing our familiar landscape for the first time all over again.

This is not just an ordinary Country House hotel in County Down, it’s our family home as well as a B&B. Hospitality is in our bones and we pride ourselves in treating all our visitors as honoured house guests.

Obviously, our local knowledge is rather extensive, so do use it! We have maps of the area and can mark out walks, places to visit and help arrange visits to golf clubs or advise on anything else you wish to do or explore. For those who wish to discover more about their family history in the area, we will assist if we can and we have many other expert contacts who may be able to help.

We are in an area with the most outstanding local ingredients coming from land and sea. A real foodie paradise! We can recommend local restaurants and other places to eat, as well as pubs to sample local brews. A folder of menus is kept in the drawing room to help you decide.
