Thought it would be perfect to start with a picture of the chief baker in the house, James! He is responsible for all the freshly baked bread at breakfast everyday and I thought it was about time he added to his repertoire, so we both headed off to the Narrows Cookery School, in Portaferry to do a day on Sourdough Bread making. Quite an education for me but less so for James. The end result was a batch of sourdough starter and a couple of fabulous loaves, which were duly scoffed by grateful children.
