RACING CIRCUITAfter a gap of 44 years since the sound of cars racing at the Bishopscourt Racing Circuit will be heard again. Joining the noise of superbikes and karts there is always something going on here KIRKISTOWN MOTOR RACING CIRCUITKirkistown Motor racing circuit is the only RAC approved motor racing circuit in Northern Ireland, opened by the 500 Motor Racing Club of Ireland in 1951. Based on the runways and taxiways of a disused war time airfield it hosts a great variety of motor sport competitions including motorcycle, rallycross, kart and car racing. The circuit is 1.6 miles long and has been brought up to full safety standards. Extensive spectator facilities have been added recently. |
