Just ten miles down the road is possibly the world’s greatest links golf course, the Royal County Down Golf Club, home to the British Seniors Open Championship and The Walker Cup.

Kirkistown Castle is a another traditional Links course and the present course layout was designed by the legendary golf course architect James Braid in 1934. Little has changed since then and few would argue that this Braid gem has not stood the test of time.
